Product Details

Fujifilm Velvia 50 is one of the most iconic color slide films in photographic history. First launched in 1990, Velvia quickly became a standard among landscape and nature photographers for its unmatched color saturation, fine grain, and striking contrast.

With a base sensitivity of ISO 50, Velvia excels under daylight conditions, producing images with extraordinary vibrancy—lush greens, deep blues, and brilliant reds that have defined the “Velvia look” for decades. Its extremely fine grain allows for exceptional detail, making it ideal for enlargements and professional-quality prints.

Although discontinued in the mid-2000s due to changes in environmental standards, Fujifilm successfully reformulated and reintroduced Velvia 50 in 2007. The film is newly manufactured in Japan, not rebranded stock, and remains a flagship product in Fujifilm’s professional transparency film lineup.

Velvia 50 is best paired with outdoor subjects and careful exposure, rewarding photographers with images of stunning clarity and unparalleled saturation that continue to inspire film enthusiasts around the world.
